A shoot for a magazine, photographed in a beautiful mansion high in the Hollywood Hills.
This film brings together fragments of the day: the backstage of the shoot, the atmosphere between shots, and a selection of the finished photographs.
Shot entirely on film, with my Hasselblad cameras and Polaroids in hand — a glimpse into the slower, more intimate process of creating an image before everything became digital.
Los Angeles, 2007.
The clip opens with a camera operator framing a shot, then moves into a black-and-white portrait of a blonde model wearing heavy eye makeup and a black collar. In a kitchen scene, the model poses nude in red high heels against a stainless refrigerator, and a later setup shows her reclining on a glass surface in black lace lingerie above a city skyline.
