Hello Everybody!
Im Suzy, and I own Dainty Rascal, a business I started over 10 years ago, in 2009 when I was 19 on Instagram at www.instagram.com/daintyrascal.. I started by sewing custom made dresses for clients around the world, specializing in Marilyn Monroe replica dresses. I can replicate any dress without needing a pattern, a skill that has allowed me to create many gorgeous gowns and costumes. I eventually began collecting vintage dresses from thrift shops, using my seamstress skills to mend and “upcycle” them into sexy, modern revisions. I am still taking in olde dresses and refurbishing them, then modeling them here and on Instagram, while I dance to old classic records on my Victrola. The dresses are all for sale on www.instagram.com/daintyrascalvintage. Every sale went to funding my growing horse rescue ranch, Heart of Gold Sanctuary. In 2018, I had finally saved enough to rent a ranch and move my rescue horses to my home. I had the space and the income from selling vintage dresses, to take on more rescue cases! The horses that I take in were meant to go to slaughter, or were going to be euthanized for physical and behavioral issues. We work with each horse to bring them to a place of happiness and health before we allow the public to adopt them into forever homes. We also let the horses choose the people. If they don’t like a person, we won’t force that horse to go live with them. We believe that animals should have some say in their own life’s path. Here they are spoiled with carrots, apples, pears, oats and all the cuddles and fun they can handle! Our goal is to save enough money to purchase property under the Sanctuary’s name so that the animals always have a place to call home, and so that we may expand the rescue to include more animals.
