[PLEASE READ] The beautiful model and actress competes for a $1,000 prize before a panel of celebrity judges, including actress Sandahl Bergman (CONAN THE BARBARIAN) and actor Richard Hatch (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA). The emcee is actor Dack Rambo (DALLAS). “The Great American Strip-Off” was a short-lived and unique “curiosity piece” of American television entertainment with a veneer of Hollywood respectability. The prize-seeking performers, both male and female, were amateur strippers who entertained judges and audiences with their own choreographed and “tasteful” routines. The skill with which each contestant did so varied widely. Although Monique’s “Strip-Off” performance was cute, capable, creative, and charismatic, she failed to win “this battle,” yet she ultimately won “the war,” appearing conspicuously as (what else?) a stripper in the 1983 major motion picture and box-office sensation FLASHDANCE. Admirers of Monique’s great beauty will applaud such of it as she necessarily revealed for this unique television contest. Fun, “historic” footage.
