This early (1951) short, which lasts less than two minutes, features Sheree North–long before she became famous–dancing in a one-piece swimsuit and a pair of cat’s ears. She then leaps out of camera range and reappears wearing a two-piece swimsuit, this time with no cat’s ears. She dances some more.

This was originally a black and white video which I processed in several ways. Initially, I increased the FSP from 30 to 60 and I improved the sharpness of the video. Then I scaled it from its original resolution (640×480) to 3840×2160, thus a 4K resolution. In the final step, I colorized the video using DeOldify and I also removed the background noise that was present in the audio. I hope you enjoy the result, I think the colorization worked well this time, unlike in some previous videos I have done. Most of the video processing I applied makes use of Artificial Intelligence to achieve state-of-the-art results but there’s still room for improvement. I’m doing a masters in AI and I enjoy playing around with available deep learning methods, so I will always try to use the methods that produce the best results. Thank you for watching!
