20”x24” adhesive vinyl on metal self portrait.
2019.
I created the image using Adobe illustrator and cut the vinyl on a vinyl plotter. Then I weed out the excess vinyl, tape it to transfer to art board and then piece by piece lay it. It’s very similar to putting a puzzle together.
I live streamed, while also filming each step of making this piece!

To me this piece represented self acceptance. PolyAnnie was no longer just a character but rather a part of me!

I recently used the image of Being Annie in my new art nft series, with pieces on Rarible and the NFT Showroom.

Being Annie shares a time-lapse of her vinyl art creation on a large t-shirt. Dressed in a sheer black top and tight shorts, she bends over to cut and apply colorful vinyl sheets in pink and purple. The process evolves into vibrant abstract designs at her workspace, with a red hat adding flair.
