Hydroquinone is a known cancer causing ingredient found in many bleaching agents. In fact, it’s banned in Europe and certain parts of Africa; however, not in the US. AHA Mandelic Acid is the product of choice because it does not contain hydroquinone or ammonia. ALSO- NEVER EVER lighten or use bleaching products right on or the inner part of the sphincter.
