Documentário longa-metragem extraído da série Rio de Topless – Histórias do Rio Contadas Sem A Parte de Cima do Biquíni, exibida pelo Canal Brasil. O filme, produzido e dirigido pela jornalista e ativista Ana Paula Nogueira, fundadora do movimento conhecido como Toplessaço, busca uma reflexão sobre liberdade e feminismo na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, a partir das histórias em torno da proibição do topless na cidade.

Documentary spinoff from the series Topless in Rio, exhibited by Canal Brasil. The film, produced and directed by journalist and activist Ana Paula Nogueira, leader of the movement known in Brazil as Toplessaço, seeks reflection on freedom and feminism in the city of Rio de Janeiro, from the stories surrounding ban on topless in the city.

Justificativa

Em pleno século XXI, e em meio a uma nova onda feminista, um ato simples como pegar sol nos seios ainda é visto como atentado ao pudor em muitas cidades do mundo, incluindo as do Brasil. Mas o que faz os mamilos serem tão polêmicos numa cidade que no passado ficou conhecida internacionalmente por exportar o biquíni fio dental e vender uma falsa sensação de liberdade? Em meio a poesia dos seios nus, e histórias em torno de sua proibição, a série busca responder a essa pergunta e trazer uma reflexão sobre liberdade e feminismo em um momento em que cresce o conservadorismo – para não dizer fascismo – no País.

In the middle of the XXI century, and in the midst of a new feminist wave, a simple act like sunbathing in the breasts is still seen as an indecent assault on many cities in the world, including Rio de Janeiro. But what makes the nipples so controversial in a city that in the past became known internationally for exporting the bikini “fio dental” and and sell a false sensation of freedom? Amid the poetry of bare breasts, and the stories surrounding her ban, the documentary seeks to answer that question and bring a reflection on freedom and feminism in the city famous for the bare ass of its women.
