Three topless Femen activists protested outside Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth in Berlin as Wednesday marked the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, November 25.
The trio wore masks depicting Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth Franziska Giffey while performing ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil’ signs and chanting “see nothing, say nothing, hear nothing, no reason to be outraged.”
Later protesters tore at their pants to reduce them to shorts, turned their backs and revealed ‘stop violence against women’ inscriptions on their backs.
The protest came after Giffey on Monday presented worrying numbers indicating at least one woman falling victim to domestic violence in Germany in every hour.

Femen activists protest topless in front of Germany's federal ministry, their bare torsos marked with black slogans like 'KEIN' and 'STOP'. They wear colorful pajama-like pants pulled low on the hips while posing dramatically on a public sidewalk. A news crew from Ruptly captures the bold demonstration amid urban surroundings.
