In my opinion, one of the best lighting techniques for artistic, fine art and nude art photography is the lighting style you will see in this behind-the-scenes video. In this lighting, which is done in white background photography, two flashes with the same power and the same modifier should be used on both sides of the model and towards the background. For example, in this photo shoot, I used two flashes with a softbox so that I could whiten the entire background evenly and have a soft rim light on both sides of the model’s body.
The video shows a behind-the-scenes studio session with a model posing topless in a long black skirt. Professional lighting and a white backdrop are visible as she adjusts her poses for black-and-white images. The sequence focuses on the artistic process and equipment setup.
