Summary (Plot):
Marie is a 35-year-old woman who seems to have a good life — she’s happily married to François, with whom she has been together for over a decade, and they share a two-year-old son. François wants to have a second child, but Marie hesitates and can’t explain why she’s unsure. She works as a door-to-door encyclopedia salesperson, which brings her into contact with many different people.

One day she visits a client named Bill, a mysterious 50-year-old African-American man who lives alone and barely leaves his home. Intrigued by him, Marie finds herself increasingly drawn to his presence. Their interactions grow from simple conversations to a passionate sexual relationship.
