International Multimedial Art Festival – IMAF is an annual event dedicated to performance art. International Festival of Multimedial Arts – IMAF has created a context in which different artists of various nationalities and age come together and, through their individual work, create a variety of research and suggestions on the medium of body and performance. As such, IMAF is not merely a festival, but a place where new ideas and conditions of performance, in the broader sense of art, become evolutionarily classified and researched. This makes it progressive and proactive, a space focused solely on developing new thoughts and ideas.

About artists:
Eva Koliopantou (Athens, Greece, 1967). She studied music (piano), cinema, painting and sculpture. In the 80’s she is a member of the independent Punk scene. She then works as a painter, maintaining her studio to this day. She focuses figuratively on portraiture and female nudity. This interest leads her to the field of visual performance and in 2012, together with Stefanos Handelis, she creates the group “Anosia”, a platform of artistic practices that works with photography-video-installation-performance. Based on the naked body and its action in space, starting from visuality, the group tries to establish a time and a fluid situation where boundaries are overcome. It elaborates concepts derived from lived experience, from relationships and the sense left by social political events. It seeks a heterotopia of play, of freedom where roles and identities are lost. It is about ritual and consumption. In her actions one recognizes automatic tendencies that man has towards the metropolis and the power of disembodied eroticism. It expresses an opposition to prevailing ethics and its limitations as well as a relationship to underground environments. Through performance, an ”intuitive time” emerges proposing solutions to thorny issues of gender and identity as well as an ephemeral conquest of utopian states.
Werther Germondari (Rimini, Italy, 1963. Lives and works in Rome and in the Umbria region). Visual artist, performer and independent filmmaker, graduated in Institutions of Theatre Direction at the University of Bologna, DAMS Faculty (Arts, Music and Entertainment Discipline) and at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. Attentive to innovative experimental neo-conceptual and situationist dynamics that are characterized by an ironic and surreal taste, since the eighties carries out a research that is implemented through numerous expressive media. He has participated in exhibitions in private galleries and experimental spaces, alternating environmental installations, videowork, and performative acts (like in the IMAF 2022), focusing on hidden elements, pertaining to a real vision, social and political. In 2013 he founded in Rome the ‘Ospizio Giovani Artisti’ (Rest Home for Young Artists), an independent exhibition space ironically only for artists over 35 years old.
