I didn’t try to write this song, it just appeared in the middle of a jam. It’s vibey and weird. You can headbang while crying to it. Originally I thought I was talking about a dollar in my pocket, but I realized it’s about power in general. This song is the result of feeling objectified, used and shoved around for a long time. Lately, things feel so much like they are regressing. There are creeps making their stand for “a woman’s place” and trying to tell us what we have to be, what we’re allowed to do with our bodies. I thought maybe getting older would make me less afraid of people. Maybe I’d feel valued for something more than my pieces. But I don’t know. Guess in the end I’ll only ever be meat. fuck it – I am meat. I got a clam.
