Performance Flows

Performance talks about the connection between people and the rivers they live on and encounter. Rivers flow like life; they flow into each other, cross and exchange our experiences, travel, and remove personal burdens. Like rivers, we require release and purification, and we share our experiences with each other with water. Sometimes, we don’t give enough or take too much, but we can’t live without water.

The performance was supported by the European Union and Goethe Institute.

This performance art piece features an Asian woman in a minimal shiny silver outfit performing fluid, contorted movements on a translucent plastic mat. She incorporates buckets and a chair into yoga-inspired stretches, leg splits, and balances under warm stage lights. Her exposed breasts and buttocks are highlighted through the suggestive poses and glistening body.
