Cinematic nude photography is a genre of fine art nude photography that draws inspiration from the imagery and emotional language of film. It typically eschews the standard posed studio shot and instead makes people think it’s a still from a fictional film.

With this in mind, dramatic lighting, subdued shadows and night scenes are often used, as well as distinctive color gradations or unusual tonality.

In this special guide, master photographer Kat and my colleague Inez take you to the very heart of American filmmaking, namely New York City. This place has become synonymous with the American film industry over the years. Famous studios such as Disney, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. and Universal Pictures were all founded in Hollywood.
