This experimental Butoh performance, FUTURE PRIMITIVES, unfolds in a dimly lit Athens theater with a reflective wet stage and wall mirrors. Topless and nude performers execute slow, contorted ritualistic movements, crawling, writhing, and posing in primal group formations. Dramatic colored lighting and a DJ booth add to the eerie, futuristic primitivist atmosphere.
