Using the body as both brush and canvas. In a ritualistic body lithography process, Trina Merry acts as a shaman to excommunicate female envy of the βother womanβ. The performers embody the shrouds in movement and gesture, finally shedding this other skin in acceptance of their own unique and colorful form. Freed, the performers utilize their own bodies as brushes through ephemeral gestures and movement.

Trina Merry's βShrouds of Our Sistersβ features nude women transformed into living sculptures through body painting. One scene shows a model lying on a tarp as thick yellow-gold paint is applied to her skin with brushes and rollers. Others pose in a colorful room, covered head-to-toe in vibrant paints while creating abstract marks on a canvas.
