Umhlonyane umbongo wabazali kuNtombi yabo eziphathe kahle .It is a traditional ceremony done by the Nguni people for a girl child, when she reaches the womanhood stage. Abazali besuke bemthombisa, ngokum’susa ebuntwaneni bemusa ebuntombini.

Umbongo wabazali kuba ukuthengela intombi yabo imbuzi ezohlinzwa kukhutshwe inyongo ezokwenza isphandla, Bamenzele umcimbi onguMhlonyane lapho sekuzobungazwa khona kuqhayiswe ubuhle buka Zulu.
